Recent price data for Mega Dragonite ex variants from the 2026 Ascended Heroes set shows a clear correction, with the popular Special Illustration Rare declining roughly 12% over the past 30 days after peaking near $875. Post-release hype has faded as booster bundles and additional print runs increase available supply, allowing more collectors and investors to open product during the summer slowdown. Trader consensus reflects this pattern of initial spikes followed by stabilization or declines in chase cards from major expansions, with no major promotional catalysts or competitive play spikes expected before month-end. Historical TCG market behavior supports the view that raw card values often ease in the weeks after early allocation waves.
