Tomáš Hrubý, the ANO movement's lead candidate and former basketball club manager, holds the strongest position in the October 9-10, 2026 municipal elections for Ústí nad Labem, where the new 37-member council will select the mayor. ANO secured the largest share of seats in 2022 and remains the dominant local force, bolstered by strong regional results in the 2025 parliamentary vote. Multiple opposition coalitions complicate the contest, including the broad Jedno Ústí alliance led by Tomáš Vohryzka, the SPD-Motoristé grouping behind Michal Mohr, the ODS-KDU-ČSL "Spolu pro Ústí" ticket headed by Radim Bzura, and Vaše Ústí with Yveta Tomková at the top. A June 2026 speeding incident that cost Hrubý his license briefly drew scrutiny but has not shifted the overall trader consensus. Post-election coalition talks and turnout patterns among key voter blocs will determine whether ANO retains influence or fragments the outcome.
