This market will resolve to "Yes" if NuScale announces that it will file for bankruptcy or has filed for bankruptcy of any variety by the listed date, 11:59 PM ET. An announcement will suffice for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of if or when the actual filing occurs. The announcement must be made through any of their official or verified channels, as a recorded or written statement by their CEO, legal representation, or other individual or team which officially represents NuScale. A definitive consensus of credible reporting may also be used.NuScale Power faces intense cash burn from R&D, manufacturing prep, and operations, reporting just $75,000 in Q2 2026 revenue against a $64 million operating loss, while projecting hundreds of millions in negative free cash flow through 2028. Yet the company holds roughly $1.9 billion in cash and investments with no debt after raising nearly $1 billion via equity sales, providing multi-year runway despite dilution. Its US460 small modular reactor design holds NRC approval, and recent milestones include boron-oxide pellet fabrication for passive safety systems plus ongoing ENTRA1-TVA discussions toward a potential multi-gigawatt power purchase agreement. Traders weigh execution delays and pre-revenue status against this liquidity buffer and nuclear demand tailwinds from data centers.
