**Trader sentiment centers on forecast model consensus for a mild overnight minimum around 64–67°F, driven by persistent cloud cover and southerly flow limiting radiative cooling.** Mostly cloudy skies trap longwave radiation, while 5–15 mph southwest winds promote boundary-layer mixing that prevents sharp temperature drops. Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble runs show lows near 66–70°F, with historical August 29 averages of 64.6°F providing context but recent warm advection pushing values higher. Key differentiating variables include exact cloud thickness, dew-point depression, and timing of any clearing, which can shift the minimum by 2–3°F across Chicago-area stations. Resolution depends on the official daily minimum from primary reporting sites, with final data releases expected shortly after midnight.
