Persistent summer heat across North Texas, driven by high pressure, southerly flow, and minimal cloud cover, keeps Dallas overnight lows elevated near 80–83°F for September 1. Official National Weather Service and ensemble guidance from late August show little cooling expected before the holiday weekend, with dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s limiting radiational cooling and supporting the warm bias relative to the historical 74–75°F average low. Short-range model agreement on this pattern supports the market’s clustered probabilities around the 76–85°F bins, while the small chance of a stronger front or increased moisture remains the main uncertainty that could shift the minimum several degrees lower.
