Recent polls ahead of Berlin’s September 20 Abgeordnetenhaus election show The Left leading or near the top, followed closely by the CDU and AfD, with the Greens typically fourth. This clustering around 16–20 percent among the CDU, AfD, and Greens keeps third-place probabilities tight, as modest shifts in support or turnout could reorder them. The CDU’s candidate change from Kai Wegner to Stefan Evers after the January blackout has coincided with stable but competitive CDU numbers, while the AfD and Greens have shown limited movement in August surveys. Minor parties remain well below the threshold, leaving the contest for third place concentrated among these three. Upcoming final polls and campaign events in the next month could widen or narrow the gaps reflected in current trader pricing.
