Recent polls ahead of Berlin’s September 20 state election show the AfD at 18 percent and the Greens at 15-16 percent, producing a consistent gap that underpins the strong trader consensus favoring the AfD for more votes. The AfD has nearly doubled its 2023 result amid national gains driven by voter concerns over immigration and economic conditions, while the Greens have held steady or edged slightly lower. Multiple September surveys from INSA, Forschungsgruppe Wahlen, and Infratest dimap confirm this ordering, with the Linke and CDU leading overall but the AfD-Grüne margin remaining stable in the final week. Other parties trail further behind, leaving little room for late shifts that would reverse the current ranking between these two.
