This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Vnukovo International Airport in degrees Celsius on 13 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=UUWW If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Official forecasts from Russia's Hydrometeorological Center, released on September 13, 2026, project a nighttime minimum of approximately 6°C in Moscow under partly cloudy skies with light westerly winds of 4–9 m/s and no precipitation.** This aligns closely with the market's leading 6°C outcome at 54.5% implied probability. Supporting model runs and hourly guidance show pre-dawn temperatures bottoming near 8–9°C in central areas, with regional outskirts potentially 2–3°C cooler due to reduced urban heat retention. Key differentiating factors include the strength of radiative cooling overnight (favored by variable cloud cover allowing some heat loss), boundary-layer mixing from sustained winds, and the precise timing of the minimum before sunrise. Historical September 13 lows average around 8.4°C, so current guidance represents a modestly below-normal reading driven by the synoptic pattern. Traders appear to weigh slight model spread—some runs permitting 4–5°C versus others holding near 7–8°C—producing tight probabilities across the 4–6°C band and a notable 48% on 2°C or below for tail-risk scenarios. Upcoming resolution hinges on verified station observations from Moscow's official network, with any late adjustments to the forecast potentially shifting sentiment before the daily minimum is finalized.
