Warm southerly flow and elevated dew points near 72°F have kept overnight temperatures elevated across central Texas, with official forecasts from the National Weather Service showing a minimum around 78°F for Austin on September 12 amid mostly clear to partly cloudy skies and light winds. This aligns with the market's strong consensus around 76-77°F, reflecting the absence of any incoming cold front or significant radiational cooling under high pressure. Historical September averages near 69°F underscore the anomaly, while short-term model runs indicate minimal overnight drop before daytime heating resumes near 100°F. Updated National Weather Service guidance and real-time observations will refine the exact low before market resolution.
