Current National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model runs project a Monday high near 93°F in Houston under mostly sunny skies with a 30-40% afternoon thunderstorm chance and southerly flow maintaining humidity near 60%. These conditions favor peak readings in the low-to-mid 90s, consistent with September climatology around 90°F, though model spread and timing of any convection introduce modest uncertainty about whether peaks could edge higher if cloud cover or rain arrives later than expected. Trader positioning, with 100°F-plus carrying the largest share of implied probability, reflects awareness of late-summer heat potential and historical variability in short-range guidance, while the clustered 19-20% probabilities on 90-99°F bins capture the consensus range from the latest forecast updates.
