Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Denver indicate an overnight low near 56–59°F on September 14 amid mostly cloudy skies and a 20–50% chance of showers or isolated thunderstorms. These conditions limit radiational cooling by trapping heat and adding moisture, supporting the near-even market odds between 59°F or below and much warmer outcomes. Model spread in cloud cover timing and precipitation amount creates genuine uncertainty around the minimum, as clearer skies would allow stronger cooling toward historical averages near 50°F while persistent clouds or rain would hold temperatures higher. Updated NWS guidance and new model runs through September 13 remain the key near-term drivers.
