This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Minnesota including the Minnesota Secretary of State and the government of Dakota County. The Democratic primary for Minnesota’s open U.S. Senate seat features a close ideological contest between U.S. Rep. Angie Craig, a moderate representing the 2nd District that includes Dakota County, and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, a progressive backed by the state DFL endorsement and prominent national figures. Recent debates, Craig’s decision to bypass the endorsing convention, and outside spending have sharpened contrasts on healthcare, affordability, and foreign policy. Statewide polls show Flanagan ahead, yet Dakota County’s local dynamics and Craig’s established congressional presence keep the county-level outcome tightly contested. Traders view the race as sensitive to turnout among suburban Democratic voters and any late shifts in endorsements or messaging before the August 11 primary.
