SpaceX's completed June 2026 IPO at a $1.77–2.1 trillion valuation, with shares priced at $135 and raising a record $75 billion, anchors trader consensus reflected in the 94% implied probability. This dwarfs OpenAI's most recent private round at $852 billion and its shift toward a potential 2027 debut amid ongoing losses and uncertain public timing. Recent regulatory filings and revenue disclosures highlight SpaceX's Starlink and launch profitability alongside AI integration, reinforcing its scale relative to OpenAI's estimated run-rate and cash-burn trajectory. While OpenAI could accelerate an IPO with stronger benchmarks or partnerships, sustained delays or valuation compression would be needed to close the gap.
