Incumbent Michelle Romero holds a commanding position in the 2026 Henderson mayoral race following her 49.8% showing in the June primary, advancing to the November 3 runoff against Hollie Chadwick. Romero benefits from incumbency, endorsements by Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo and local business and labor groups, and a substantial fundraising edge that exceeded $700,000 early in the cycle. These factors have shaped trader consensus around her re-election prospects in the nonpartisan contest. Chadwick, a former police chief who placed second with 23%, secured an endorsement from eliminated candidate Adam Price, who filed an ethics complaint against Romero over consulting arrangements. Potential shifts could arise from turnout patterns in the runoff, resolution of the ethics matter, or late developments affecting voter sentiment before November.
