Incumbent Michelle Romero advanced to the November 3, 2026, runoff as the clear primary leader with nearly 50% of the vote against a crowded field, more than double the share of runner-up Hollie Chadwick. This performance, combined with Romero’s established record as mayor since 2023 and prior city council service, has shaped trader views of her strong position in the head-to-head contest. Chadwick, a former Henderson police chief terminated in 2025, positioned her campaign around public safety and housing issues but received only about 23% in the June primary. With the general election still months away and no major new developments reported since the primary results, market pricing reflects broad consensus around the incumbent’s advantages in name recognition, fundraising, and voter support in this nonpartisan race.
