The crowded field of over 15 admitted candidates for Arequipa's October 4 provincial mayoral election keeps the race fragmented, with Ruccy Judith Oscco Polar and Ricardo Alfredo Ramírez del Villar Llosa holding the narrowest leads in current trader pricing. Recent Jurado Electoral Especial resolutions on list registrations have clarified eligibility without consolidating support behind any single contender. Limited available polling and the absence of dominant local endorsements or major campaign events sustain the tight distribution across multiple names. Key upcoming factors that could widen gaps include scheduled debates, regional economic or infrastructure developments, and shifts in voter turnout patterns among Arequipa's key districts.
