**Recent polling trends position Die Linke’s vote share in the 20-23% range as the most probable outcome for the September 20, 2026, Berlin state election.** Multiple surveys from late July through mid-August 2026, including Forsa (22%), Civey (21%), and Infratest dimap (20-22%), show the party leading or tied near the top, well above its 12.2% result in the 2023 repeat election. This reflects sustained gains driven by membership growth to over 18,000—the largest in Berlin—younger demographics, and a focused campaign by lead candidate Elif Eralp on housing affordability and social policy. **The governing CDU-SPD coalition’s challenges have boosted opposition momentum.** Criticism of the CDU’s crisis response, including a major power outage, prompted a candidate change to Stefan Evers, while the SPD has fallen to around 12-15%. Linke’s national recovery and emphasis on issues like rent controls and public services resonate in Berlin’s left-leaning electorate, with polls indicating possible red-green-red or similar coalitions. **Traders price the narrower 20-23% band highest because recent data cluster there, though the race remains fluid with AfD and CDU close behind at 17-20%.** A late surge above 23% or dip below 20% remains possible amid final campaign dynamics and turnout factors, but current evidence supports the central range as the consensus view.

This market will resolve according to the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) received by Linke in the specified election.
If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket.
This market will resolve solely based on the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) won by the specified party, defined as the number of valid second votes won by the specified party divided by the total number of valid second votes in the specified election.
Valid vote percentages will be counted only where the Election Office of Berlin (Landeswahlleiter Berlin) attributes them to the aforementioned party. Vote percentages attributed to other parties or electoral designations will not count, regardless of electoral cooperation, endorsements, coalition agreements, or subsequent parliamentary-group arrangements. If the specified party formally merges into a successor party before the election and does not contest separately, the valid vote percentage of the successor party will count towards resolution.
If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket.
This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Election Office of Berlin (Landeswahlleiter Berlin https://www.berlin.de/wahlen/).
