Recent polling averages place AfD first and SPD second in the September 20, 2026 Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Landtag election, leaving a tight contest for third between Die Linke (around 11–12%) and CDU (around 9–10%), with BSW, Grüne, and FDP further behind. Trader consensus reflects this narrow gap through balanced pricing on those two parties, driven by Linke’s modest edge in July surveys offset by CDU’s potential for late consolidation among conservative voters. SPD gains in recent weeks and the short remaining campaign window add volatility, as turnout shifts or minor-party movements could alter the ordering. Scheduled debates and state-specific economic messaging in the final stretch represent the clearest near-term catalysts that could widen or close the margin for third place.
