Recent forecast models from sources including ECMWF and GFS indicate a daytime high near 23°C for Mexico City on September 12, driven by persistent cloud cover and scattered rain typical of the region's wet season. At the city's 2,240-meter elevation, reduced solar insolation and evaporative cooling from precipitation limit warming, aligning with September climatological averages of 23–25°C. Current observations show overcast skies and light winds that further suppress maxima, though model spread leaves room for brief clearing that could push readings toward 25–26°C. Traders appear to price in this uncertainty, with the highest probabilities on 25°C or above reflecting potential forecast revisions ahead of final verification.
