Wang Chung-ming, the Kuomintang incumbent magistrate of Lienchiang County since 2022, commands an 84.5% implied probability in the market, driven by incumbency advantages, established party organizational support, and the county's historical KMT dominance in magistrate races. Rivals including Tsao Erh-yuan at 7.9% and Tsao Erh-chang at 0.6% trail significantly, consistent with limited announced challengers or alternative nominations eight months ahead of the November 2026 local elections. KMT leadership events in mid-2026, including candidate coordination across counties, have reinforced internal unity without indicating shifts here. Traders price these structural factors while noting that primary processes or late entries could still affect the field before voting.
