Current National Weather Service and model guidance for Atlanta points to an overnight low near 70–72°F on August 29, driven by persistently high dew points near 70°F, light easterly winds, and variable cloud cover from scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms that limit radiational cooling. These factors keep the boundary layer warm and humid in a classic late-summer pattern without any strong cold-air advection. Market-implied probabilities cluster tightly around 70–75°F because small differences in cloud timing, storm outflow boundaries, or model bias on mixing depth can easily shift the minimum by a degree or two, while the risk of a notably cooler or warmer outcome remains low given the stable synoptic setup and high climatological baseline.
