Trader consensus on Jeddah’s September 17 minimum temperature remains nearly even between the 24 °C-or-below and 34 °C-or-higher brackets because short-range forecast models show modest divergence in overnight cooling. Coastal Red Sea humidity, light northwesterly winds, and variable cloud cover are the dominant variables modulating radiational cooling rates, with recent runs indicating possible minima near 28–30 °C—close to the September climatological average. Any strengthening of the sea breeze or increased low-level moisture could suppress the low toward the cooler tail, while clearer skies and weaker winds would favor higher readings. Updated ECMWF and GFS guidance expected within the next 24 hours, together with Saudi National Center for Meteorology briefings, will likely refine the implied probabilities ahead of resolution.
