Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and models indicate Saturday night lows near 70-72°F across Los Angeles amid an ongoing heat wave, with sunny conditions and southwest winds limiting marine layer cooling. This positions the daily minimum—likely measured at downtown or LAX stations—well above the historical average of ~65°F for August 29. Trader consensus clusters around 66-75°F bins because urban heat island effects, exact wind timing, and slight model variations in overnight radiative cooling could shift the recorded low by a few degrees. Stronger onshore flow or earlier marine intrusion would favor the cooler 66-69°F outcomes, while persistent warm advection supports 72-75°F. New overnight observations and any final model runs tonight will refine resolution.
