Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Los Angeles on September 8, 2026, points to a daily minimum in the low to mid-70s, driven by a persistent warm air mass, light onshore flow, and reduced radiative cooling under partly cloudy conditions with dew points near 62°F. This keeps overnight temperatures well above the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 64°F for the date, consistent with recent days’ minima around 64–67°F and absent any strong marine layer or frontal passage. Trader-implied probabilities heavily favor the 72–75°F bins because forecast runs show limited downside risk below 70°F, while upside above 76°F remains unlikely given typical September steering patterns and wind speeds. Updated model runs and official observations tonight will refine exact resolution thresholds.
