Russia’s September 18–20 State Duma election occurs amid wartime economic pressures, fuel shortages, and Ukrainian strikes that prompted the Kremlin to lower its turnout target from 50 percent. The 2021 benchmark of 51.58 percent, combined with expanded remote electronic voting across 32 regions and three-day balloting, supports the tight clustering of trader probabilities around the 50–56 percent brackets. Limited state-media coverage, modest public engagement shown in recent polls, and variable regional mobilization efforts have kept outcomes closely contested. Separation could emerge from the scale of public-sector or overseas participation, final DEG registration numbers, or any late adjustments in administrative push in key regions before voting concludes.
