Dalton Eatherly, known online as Chud the Builder, faces attempted first-degree murder and related felony charges stemming from a May 13, 2026, shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, during a confrontation with Joshua Fox that Eatherly described as self-defense. The case remains in early pre-trial stages, having been bound over to a grand jury with no indictment or trial date set as of mid-September 2026. Tennessee felony cases of this type typically require 12 to 18 months or longer to reach a verdict. The Polymarket contract resolves July 31, 2027, creating a narrow window that makes a conviction before the deadline unlikely under standard court timelines, which underpins the 92% implied probability on a "No" outcome.
