National Weather Service forecasts for Chicago point to a Thursday high near 74°F under mostly sunny skies following overnight clearing and a shift to northeast winds around 5–10 mph. This post-frontal setup, with cooler marine influence off Lake Michigan, caps daytime warming below the late-summer climatological average of 78°F. Model consensus shows limited spread, though minor variations in cloud timing or wind strength could add a degree or two. Market-implied odds clustering around 76–79°F reflect traders balancing the official guidance against historical September variability and ensemble uncertainty ahead of final observations.
