Official National Weather Service forecasts for Houston on September 11 project a high near 91–93°F under partly sunny skies with a 40–50% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms driven by daytime heating, southerly flow, and Gulf moisture. Recent model runs and climatological norms for early September support this range, with heat indices exceeding 100°F but actual air temperatures tempered by scattered convection. The market-implied emphasis on 90–91°F (42%) reflects consensus around these guidance values, while 88–89°F and 92–93°F bins capture residual uncertainty in storm timing and intensity that could shift the daily maximum by a degree or two. Updated NWS briefings and morning model guidance remain the key near-term catalysts.
