Recent National Weather Service and regional model guidance points to Miami highs in the upper 80s on September 22, with scattered to likely afternoon thunderstorms and south winds around 5–10 mph. High humidity, cloud cover, and evaporative cooling from precipitation will suppress peak readings below climatological norms for late September, favoring the closely matched 86–87°F and 88–89°F outcomes at 38.5% each. Minor differences hinge on storm timing and coverage—earlier or more intense convection could cap the maximum nearer 86°F, while delayed activity might allow brief warming to 88–89°F. The 16% chance for 90–91°F reflects residual uncertainty in model runs, though official forecasts show limited support for that range.
