Current National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for San Francisco on September 22 indicate overnight lows in the upper 50s, with the 58–59 °F bin holding the highest market-implied probability at 40 %. This positioning reflects persistent onshore flow and a moderate marine layer that limits radiational cooling while preventing sharp drops below seasonal norms. Recent observations show downtown lows near 57 °F amid partly cloudy conditions and light winds, aligning closely with the 1991–2020 average low of 55.7 °F for the date. Model consensus favors continued mild overnight temperatures without significant offshore flow or clear-sky enhancement that could push readings lower, though minor adjustments in cloud cover or wind speed remain the key variables that could shift probabilities before resolution.
