Official National Weather Service forecasts for Dallas on September 20 project a daytime high near 96°F under mostly sunny conditions with light southerly winds, aligning closely with the market's dominant 96-97°F outcome. Late-September climatology in North Texas supports mid-to-upper 90s readings when high pressure dominates and moisture remains moderate, producing heat indices near 100°F despite dew points in the upper 60s. Recent model runs from the National Weather Service Dallas/Fort Worth office have shown minimal shifts in the maximum temperature guidance, with afternoon updates reinforcing the mid-90s peak before evening thunderstorm chances increase. Historical September averages for the area hover around 90-92°F, so current conditions represent a modest positive anomaly consistent with the strong market-implied probability for the narrow 96-97°F bin.
