Recent National Weather Service and WeatherBug forecasts for New York City on August 29 point to a high near 81–83°F under mostly sunny skies with northerly winds of 5–10 mph, following a period of variable August temperatures that included several days in the upper 70s. This aligns with the long-term average high of 81.3°F while reflecting modest cooling influences from recent atmospheric patterns, positioning the 78–79°F and 80–81°F ranges as the dominant market-implied outcomes. Short-term model consensus supports limited intensification potential, though minor shifts in cloud cover or wind could adjust the final peak within the observed uncertainty range typical of 24–48-hour predictions.
