Recent official forecasts from Singapore's Meteorological Service and NEA indicate a highest temperature of 31–34°C on September 22, 2026, under prevailing southwest monsoon conditions that favor localized afternoon thundery showers. These convective systems, driven by daytime heating and sea-breeze convergence, typically limit peak readings by enhancing cloud cover and evaporative cooling, aligning with the market's emphasis on 31–33°C outcomes. September climatology shows mean highs near 31.6°C, but 2026 data reveal elevated values earlier in the month, including a 34.6°C reading on the 19th, tempered by the second-half rainfall increase noted in the fortnightly outlook. Model consensus points to modest steering winds from the south-southeast, keeping conditions warm and humid without extreme outliers.
