Silver (XAG/USD) trades near $66–67 per ounce amid elevated levels following a 130%+ advance in 2025, supported by persistent structural supply deficits and robust industrial demand from solar, EV, and electronics sectors. Traders are closely watching the June 16–17 FOMC meeting for signals on monetary policy, interest rates, and the dollar’s trajectory, which directly influence precious metals pricing through real yields and risk sentiment. Recent volatility reflects mixed macroeconomic data and geopolitical factors, with analyst forecasts clustering around an $80 average for 2026. Market-implied odds embed expectations for continued strength unless Fed guidance turns notably hawkish or industrial indicators soften.
