This market will resolve to “Yes" if the United States Congress passes a qualifying bill or resolution which, by its operative text, expresses approval regarding an agreement where the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States are both parties by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying bill or resolution must be a bill or joint resolution passed identically in both chambers, or a Senate resolution giving advice and consent to a treaty submitted by the President. The resolution source for this market will be information from the United States Congress (https://congress.gov); however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.**Recent U.S.-Iran negotiations have produced a framework memorandum of understanding signed virtually on June 15, 2026, extending a ceasefire, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and launching 60-day talks on Iran's nuclear program.** President Trump has signaled openness to transmitting details to Congress for review after a formal signing, while senators from both parties—including Republicans Lindsey Graham and John Thune—have pressed for the text and emphasized statutory review requirements under the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act. Lawmakers remain largely uninformed on specifics and have voiced skepticism about durability and verification, yet the push for congressional involvement and the interim nature of the pact have shaped trader views on approval prospects by year-end. Uncertainties around final terms, Israeli actions in Lebanon, and enrichment limits continue to influence assessments.
