Trump’s endorsement of Rep. Julia Letlow has consolidated Republican primary voter support behind her in the race for Louisiana’s U.S. Senate nomination, driving trader consensus toward her decisive first-round lead. Incumbent Sen. Bill Cassidy’s past votes against Trump and policy differences with the administration have limited his appeal among the party base, while state Treasurer John Fleming’s self-funded effort splits remaining anti-Cassidy votes without overtaking Letlow. With the May 16 primary underway and no candidate expected to reach a majority, the top two will advance to a June 27 runoff. Letlow’s position could still face pressure from unusually high undecided turnout or last-minute developments that shift conservative mobilization in the final hours of voting.

This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who receives the most valid votes in the first round of this election.
The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidates' last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking.
If no 2026 Louisiana Republican Senate Primary takes place, this market will resolve to “Other.”
The resolution source for this market will be the first announcement of the results from the Louisiana Republican Party; however an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may suffice.
