Incumbent Philip Brown, who has held the Charlottetown mayoralty since 2018 and won re-election decisively in 2022, leads the November 2, 2026 municipal contest in trader pricing. His announcement in late July to seek a third term, combined with his record on shared services, public transit, housing, and infrastructure projects like Eastlink Centre upgrades, underpins the consensus around his position. Challengers including entrepreneur Daniel Mullen, who ran in 2022, activist Daniel Cousins, biotech figure Amir Zuccolo, and long-serving councillor Mitchell Tweel have declared in August, focusing on city hall reforms, traffic, and new voices on council. With candidate nominations opening in October and no major shifts reported in recent weeks, the field remains open but Brown's incumbency and prior mandate continue to shape market positioning ahead of election day.
