**Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and other models points to a highest temperature in the mid to upper 70s for Los Angeles on September 16, 2026, aligning with the 76–77 °F bin’s 63.5% market-implied probability.** Typical September marine-layer influence and onshore southwest flow moderate coastal readings near the historical average high of 76.2 °F, while patchy morning drizzle and afternoon clearing limit afternoon warming. Recent observations show a slight cooldown from mid-September peaks near 80–85 °F at LAX, with no strong offshore winds or heat-dome conditions to push values into the low 80s. Model runs and NWS guidance cluster tightly around 74–78 °F, supporting the heavy weighting on 76–77 °F and the secondary 20% odds on 78–79 °F, while lower bins reflect only modest uncertainty in exact peak timing or microclimate variations.
