This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the San Francisco International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 17 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ksfo This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Official National Weather Service forecasts for San Francisco on September 17, 2026, call for a high near 70°F (21°C), with morning low clouds and a slight chance of drizzle giving way to gradual clearing and mostly sunny skies by afternoon.** Light southwest winds of 5–10 mph support modest warming once the marine layer lifts, but persistent coastal influence keeps temperatures from climbing much higher. Hourly point forecasts show a peak around 69°F midday to mid-afternoon before cooling begins. Trader consensus clusters tightly on 70–73°F because San Francisco’s microclimates create meaningful differences between measurement sites (e.g., downtown vs. airport vs. western neighborhoods), and the exact timing of cloud break can shift the daily maximum by a degree or two. Recent observations confirm morning temperatures in the low 60s under overcast skies with dew points in the upper 50s, consistent with a mild marine air mass. Historical September normals near 70°F provide additional context, but today’s modest clearing and light winds limit upside potential compared to clearer, warmer inland patterns. The narrow spread between the two leading bins reflects genuine uncertainty in the final observed peak rather than divergent model guidance. Newer observations or updates from the NWS San Francisco Bay Area office could refine the exact high before resolution.
