Trader consensus centers on an overnight low of 78–79 °F in Dallas, reflecting National Weather Service model runs that show persistent southerly flow, clear skies, and dew points near 70 °F maintaining elevated minimum temperatures through the morning of September 12. This aligns with the climatological pattern of late-summer warmth, well above the 1991–2020 average low of 71.5 °F for the date. Key supporting factors include the absence of any frontal passage or increased cloud cover that could enhance radiational cooling. A realistic shift below 78 °F would require either a late-arriving cold front or substantial model error in boundary-layer moisture forecasts, neither of which is currently indicated by ensemble guidance.
