Persistent southerly winds and clear skies under high pressure are sustaining elevated overnight lows in Dallas, with National Weather Service and private model consensus pointing to a minimum near 79–82 °F for September 14. This range aligns with the market’s tightest probabilities on 80–81 °F and 82–83 °F bins, reflecting trader assessment of minimal radiational cooling amid dew points in the upper 60s and heat indices above 105 °F during the day. Historical September minima average about 71 °F, so the current anomaly stems from the absence of any frontal passage or increased cloud cover that could enhance cooling. With resolution imminent and model runs through the evening showing little spread, further updates from the National Weather Service are unlikely to shift the distribution unless an unexpected wind shift develops.
