Recent National Weather Service and NOAA model guidance indicates mostly clear skies and light easterly winds over Houston on September 18, supporting efficient overnight radiative cooling after daytime highs near 95°F. This setup favors a low in the upper 70s, aligning with the market's leading 78-79°F bin at 32.5% implied probability. Elevated humidity and the absence of a strong cold front limit further drops, while minor model spreads in cloud cover and wind timing create the observed dispersion across 76-81°F outcomes. Historical September lows average near 72°F, yet the current warm pattern and stable high-pressure ridge keep cooler bins below 10% combined. Updated NWS briefings tonight and tomorrow morning will refine the exact minimum before market resolution.
