This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Malpensa Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 8 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=limc If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current forecasts from sources like the Met Office, Yr.no, and regional models indicate a daily minimum temperature around 22–23°C for Milan on September 8, 2026, during the final day of an anomalous early-September heatwave.** Highs are expected near 33–34°C under mostly clear or partly cloudy skies with light easterly winds, consistent with above-normal conditions persisting through the 8th. An approaching Atlantic perturbation is the main driver shifting sentiment, with model consensus pointing to increasing cloud cover, possible showers, and a sharp temperature drop beginning late on the 8th or more decisively on the 9th (highs falling to ~24–28°C and overnight lows to ~18–20°C). This creates genuine uncertainty around whether cooling arrives early enough to pull the Sept 8 minimum below 20°C or even into the upper teens. Historical September averages for Milan (lows near 15–18°C) provide context, but the current setup features stronger high pressure holding until the front arrives. Traders are assigning notable implied probability to cooler outcomes (e.g., 18°C or below) due to timing risks in the forecast, while warmer minima near or above 23°C remain plausible if the change is delayed. Updated model runs and official agency guidance in the next 24–48 hours will likely refine these ranges ahead of resolution.
