Forecast models from agencies and meteorological services converge on a high near 99–100°F for Austin on September 14, driven by persistent southerly flow advecting warm, moist Gulf air under high pressure with limited cloud cover and strong September solar insolation. This setup supports afternoon peaks in the upper 90s to low 100s, consistent with recent days and above the long-term September average of roughly 92°F. Market-implied odds cluster tightly on 98–101°F ranges because short-range ensembles show minor sensitivity to exact timing of any scattered clouds or wind shifts, while lower or higher bins reflect residual model spread and the inherent uncertainty in pinpointing the daily maximum within a narrow 2–3°F window. Updated National Weather Service guidance and next model runs will further refine the outcome.
