Forecast models from sources including the Met Office and regional analyses show Shanghai under stable high-pressure conditions on September 12, with light easterly winds, minimal cloud cover, and negligible precipitation risk supporting daytime heating to a peak near 29°C. This aligns with late-summer climatology slightly above the 27°C September average high, as subsidence and clear skies enhance solar insolation without significant frontal or tropical influences. Trader consensus, with 29°C at 50% and 28°C at 38.5% implied probability, reflects tight model agreement on these thresholds while assigning low odds to outliers above 30°C or below 28°C absent unexpected shifts in steering patterns or humidity. Updated guidance closer to the date could refine the exact maximum.
