Current National Weather Service and model guidance points to sunny skies and light northerly winds over Atlanta on September 14, supporting a high in the low-to-mid 90s under building high pressure after recent frontal passage. Clear conditions will allow strong daytime heating, with surface temperatures rising quickly after sunrise amid dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s. Historical September averages near 84°F highlight the anomalous warmth, driven by subsidence and minimal cloud cover. The near-even split between 92–93°F and 94–95°F buckets reflects the typical 1–2°F uncertainty band in short-range temperature forecasts from factors such as exact wind timing, urban heat effects, and model spread in boundary-layer mixing.
