Traders assign the highest probability to a 15°C daily maximum in Wellington on September 13, driven by short-range forecast guidance showing a stable springtime regime with moderate northwesterly winds and limited cloud cover. Current surface observations and model consensus indicate temperatures will remain close to the seasonal average for mid-September, with no strong frontal passages or significant warm-air advection expected before the daily peak. Ensemble spreads remain tight, keeping 14°C and 16°C as plausible but lower-probability outcomes tied to small shifts in wind strength or timing of any diurnal heating. This distribution reflects the narrow forecast uncertainty typical for a 24-hour window in the region.
