Recent National Weather Service guidance and short-range models point to a high near 92–93°F in Houston on September 12 under a persistent late-summer pattern of southeasterly flow, high precipitable water exceeding 2 inches, and diurnally driven scattered thunderstorms. These factors introduce variability in cloud cover and timing of convection that can cap afternoon heating or allow brief full insolation, keeping outcomes clustered around the low-to-mid 90s. Historical September 12 averages near 90°F provide context, while recent regional highs in the mid-90s support the slight upward tilt in trader probabilities. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon model runs remain key near-term catalysts.
