Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), founded by former OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, has drawn trader attention due to investor Gavin Baker's July 2026 comments suggesting a possible first public model release that month, coinciding with the company's new long-term NVIDIA partnership for Vera Rubin compute announced July 27. SSI remains highly secretive with no papers, products, or official timelines disclosed since its $6 billion fundraising and $32 billion valuation, emphasizing a post-scaling research phase focused on algorithmic breakthroughs rather than pre-training. This positions the outcome around whether the lab accelerates from guarded research to a scaled public release amid competitive pressure from other AI labs, though historical patterns show product timelines frequently slip.

A qualifying model must be an AI model released by SSI or associated with SSI and confirmed as such by SSI or by a consensus of credible reporting.
For this market to resolve to "Yes," a qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced by SSI as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from SSI; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
