National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model guidance indicate sunny skies and light southerly winds will sustain hot conditions over Dallas on September 18, with afternoon highs expected near 100°F and heat indices above 105°F. This consensus from recent NWS Dallas/Fort Worth updates and ensemble runs positions the 98-99°F bin as the leading outcome, reflecting typical daily maximum variability around the forecast value rather than a cooler shift. Persistent high pressure and above-normal temperatures earlier in September provide climatological support, while the absence of clouds or precipitation keeps upside risk for 100°F+ limited in current guidance. Traders appear to weigh these factors against minor model spread and station-specific measurement, with final observations determining resolution.
