Recent official forecasts from the Finnish Meteorological Institute indicate a daily maximum near 19°C for Helsinki on August 18, consistent with multiple global and regional models showing limited warming under moderate southwesterly flow. This aligns with late-August climatology, where high temperatures typically decline from July peaks as solar insolation decreases and Baltic Sea surface temperatures moderate coastal conditions, rarely exceeding 22–23°C after mid-month. Ensemble guidance shows tight clustering around 18–21°C, with minimal risk of extremes given stable pressure patterns and low precipitation signals. Trader-implied probabilities, concentrated on 19–21°C outcomes, reflect this consensus while incorporating residual model uncertainty and potential short-term forecast adjustments ahead of the resolution window.
